This work is in very good overall condition. There are no signs of foxing, staining or any other major faults to report. This work is housed in a decorative gold frame with a cream mount.

This is the only still life Sumner produced as a screenprint. The lamp was the only means of lighting at the artist's retreat at Upway, Victoria
