AN EBONIZED C. BECHSTEIN GRAND PIANO, OF AUSTRALIAN MUSICAL INTEREST
Model A, serial number 45471, circa 1898- 1902, 85 notes

Provanence: Purchased by Judith Durham in Switzerland in 1973. The piano was shipped to Australia and remained her personal piano to date. Over the years Judith has composed the many songs on the Bechstein including, Australia Land of Today, Hold on To Your Dream, It's Hard To Leave, In Your Love, Wales You're a Dreamland, I Celebrate Your Life My Baby, All In Good Time, Phone Love, The Hand That Rocks The World, Andre, and Stop And Care (Hey! Hey! Hey!)

Overall condition fair. The case has recently been re-finished. The original ivory keys are slightly stained consistent with age and use. Very minor losses to case around the hinges of the interior of the fall. Some replaced strings. The fall and sides has recently been repaired and refinished.
The hammers have recently been buffed. Occasional fractures to the sound board.
