Italian-born British sculptor Enzo Plazzotta is primarily known for his bronze human and animal figures found in public spaces, many in London. His series of bronzes exploring the theme of dance were initially inspired by the South African prima ballerina Nadia Nerina, represented in the present lot, which demonstrates his deep understanding of movement and engaging use of the sculptural medium.
