Olympia: Photographs by Polixeni Papapetrou, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, 27 September 2019 - 15 March 2020 (another impression)
With a title drawn from a poem by Lewis Carroll, Phamtomwise was shaped around a serendipitous event and inspired by her biggest inspiration, Olympia. During a rainy day, after watching Pocahontas, five year old Olympia put on an Indian brave mask and insisted that she be photographed. This was the beginning of a wonderful series by Papapatrou.
