In 1937 Jessie Traill travelled to England and made a base with her wartime friend, Ms. Bell Robinson at her farm in Northumberland. She would make several trips to Scotland, and many short visits to continental Europe.
It is unknown to which location this etching is depicting. Given the date, it is presumed that it was created whilst overseas.
