Lucienne Bloch and Frida Kahlo shared a significant bond during the 1930s when they collaborated on mural projects in New York City. Bloch, a Swiss-American artist, met Kahlo while working on a mural at the New Workers School, where Kahlo's husband, Diego Rivera, was also involved. Their collaboration deepened into a close friendship, with Bloch capturing various aspects of Kahlo's life through her photography. Bloch's photographs offer intimate glimpses into Kahlo's world, reflecting her strength, resilience, and unique personality. Beyond their professional connection, Bloch and Kahlo formed a lasting friendship that transcended their artistic collaboration.
