Melbourne, Heide Park and Art Gallery, Robert Klippel: A Retrospective. Exhibition of Sculpture and Works on Paper, 15 September - 25 October 1987, cat. no. 78.

J. Gleeson, Robert Klippel, Sydney 1983, p. 374, illus. p. 375 'LS 59 is unique among Klippel's collages in that the three principal collaged elements are photographs of three of Klippel's own constructions Reading from left to right they are Opus 282, Opus 277 and Opus 281, made in the same year as the collage. The group stands on a collaged base of enlarged machine parts and the effect is one of enigmatic and somewhat sinister monumentality. ' (J. Gleeson 1983, p. 374)
