Peer Lindholt, Atelier 72 Gallery
The present lot was created to promote Olsen's major 1974 solo exhibition at Atelier 72 Gallery in Adelaide during the Festival of Arts. The large show featured a wide range of works, including oils, drawings, and lithographs, and studies for his Sydney Opera House mural. The highlight of the exhibition was Olsen's 1969 expansive painting 'Love in the Kitchen', which still holds the artist's record for the highest price paid at auction for one of his paintings when it sold in 2006 for $1,075,500.
Included with this lot is the original price list from the exhibition which features this drawing on the cover. Atelier 72 gallery closed in 1975.
