"Kalaya tjuta nyinanyi (all the emus are sitting). There are travelling tracks where they have been travelling around looking for food. They have been eating kampurarpa (desert raisins), parka-parka and talwpa-talwpa. Kapi tjukula kutjara (there are two deep rockholes). The emus have eaten kuka mitika (bettong) and left the bones in the sun. Mai kutupakutupa. Kalaya tjuta pukulpa pulka. The emus are happy there are so many different bush foods. Inmaku pakani (they get up and dance). They leave their dancing tracks in the sand. At Kanpi rockhole the water falls over the rocks after the big rains, like a waterfall. This is my grandfathers country Jimmy Baker. He told me "you think about my country and my story. Kalaya Tjukurpa - the Emu Creation." And I learned from my grandfather the story about his country. This story joins up with Watarru. There is a song line where the emu's travelled south from Kanpi to Tipul. That Watarru mob is all our family too. This is the story for the Kalaya, (Emu man). The story for Kanpi. Tjukurpa mulapa (this is a true story from the creation time)."
