A SET OF THREE EDWARD WALLEY IRONSTONE JUGS
Dated 1843

In graduated sizes, with a lobed body, moulded fruiting vines and entwined twig handles highlighted in colours, the mounted hinged pewter lids are by James Dixon and Sons. Impressed "E.Walley Ironstone China"; printed brown factory registration mark including the date ‘13 May 1843' and red hand written patter number ‘1889' or could be ‘6881'.
26cm, 23.8 cm and 20cm high
Quart: diameter 15.1 cm, width 17.8 cm, height 26.3 cm.

Two cracks to medium jug. Minor chip to handle of smallest jug. Overall crazing. No visible repairs.
