AN INDIAN PADOUK, EBONY AND BONE INLAID BOOKCASE ON CHEST
With a moulded cornice above a frieze and pair of carved patera cupboard doors enclosing shelves and two drawers, the base with a fitted secretaire drawer above three further long drawers, on carved lion paw feet, inlaid throughout with a repeating design of birds, foliate inset palmettes and flowering trees in pots.

- overall in good condition, with acceptable wear, small losses to the inlaid decoration consistent with age
- some areas of damage on lower left hand side panel edge of top, on lower right hand side edge, right hand corner at top of base; and midway on right hand side panel
- small section with missing inlay
- right hand corner of cornice slightly separated
