Probably William Skeen (the maker's mark on the second rubbed), London, 1764 and 1770

Of identical design with a slight difference in width, each of typical form raised on a foot of shaped lozenge outline with a leaf-capped double scroll handle, the rim and edge of the foot gadrooned, each engraved to one side with a monogram, the earlier boat marked to the underside of its foot, the other below its lip
Each 14.5cm high, 22.5cm 22cm wide, 932g in total

Generally in very good condition wth typical superficial scratches and slight dents consistent with age and handling. One boat has a small, barely perceptible repair below its rim close to its handle.
