James Curtin enlisted as a Pte. in Co. 'C' 132nd N.Y. Inf. on 29 August, 1862. He became sick with fever in June, 1865 and was discharged on 9 June, 1865. He died in New York from Pulmonary Tuberculosis on 21 October, 1865.
