Lot 500

A RARE JAPANESE SATSUMA HIGH FIRED GLAZE VASE, WITH IMPRESSED SEAL OF KINKOZAN
With gilt painted birds and wisteria decoration, Meiji Period, Circa 1900. 24cm high.

Notes: The use of negative space and a high fired glaze technique in this piece reflect external influence. It has been suggested that works such as this were produced in line with the travels of Christopher Dresser in the 19th Century.

Estimate $10,000 - $12,000
