commonly referred to as 'The Goddess of Seventy
Million (Buddhas)', 58cm high.
Provenance: Letter with statutory declaration dated April 15, 1955 by R.Bensabott, Importer of Art and Objects Chicago Illinois. Addressed to a Dr Michael Mc Grarth of Indiana; the letter stating the Buddha originated from the Temple of a Thousand Genni, looted by an army Captain during the T'ai P'ing rebellion.
