A VICTORIAN NOVELTY WALKING STICK WITH A MECHANICAL CARVED IVORY DONKEY HEAD HANDLE BY THOMAS BRIGG, CIRCA 1889
THE STERLING SILVER COLLAR BEARING THE NAME 'SWAINE & ADENEY LTD. LONDON'
The carved ivory and partly tinted donkey head mount, has articulated, ears, mouth & tongue, when a button to rear is pressed, all below a sterling silver cuff and a tapering hardwood walking stick, total length 90cm (chips visible to ivory)

Significant chips to right ear, significant chip to one side of jaw. The mechanism opens the mouth and the tongue moves within the mouth, however the mechanism is currently 'sticking' and the ears only move manually, not with the button - mechanism requires servicing
The sterling silver collar is hallmarked however the marks are rubbed and difficult to read, there however is a marking for 'Swaine & Adeney Ltd. London'
