Lot 335

ATTRIBUTED TO LILY KAREDADA (born c.1937)
Three Wanjinas c.1976
natural earth pigments on eucalyptus bark
100 x 66.5cm

Estimate $1,500 - $2,500

Unsold

The condition of this work is fair.

The white paint that forms the bodies of the Wanjinas has lifted in areas where it has been more heavily applied so that the bark itself is now visible. More paint is likely to flake off in the future.

Other areas have also lost paint.

This work would benefit from conservation work.
