A CHINESE CARVED CINNABAR LACQUER VASE WITH STAND
19TH CENTURY

The body of the vase relief carved all over with the sanduo (peaches, pomegranates and finger citron) amongst chrysanthemum, lotus, magnolia, peonies, plum blossom and other flowers, between ruyi and lappet borders, the stand decorated with scrolling peonies.

35.5cm high, 23cm diameter.

Small old chips to the lacquer around the mouth rim, chips and losses to the lacquer at the foot rim, cracks to the black lacquer base. Some later lacquer repair to the footrim and mouthrim of the vase, and to the waist of the stand
