Work is in very good condition. No areas of concern apparent. A very faint wave in the paper runs through the centre, indicating that the work may not be glued down although it has not been inspected outside of its frame.

In the 1940s, Max Harris (editor of the Angry Penguins magazine), believed he had uncovered an unknown writer, then deceased, by the name of Ern Malley to devote a special issue to. However, Ern never existed, but was rather the clever and cunning concoction of two Australian poets, Harold Stewart and James McAuley. The two were hostile to modernist poetry and wanted to see if they could get the literary world to accept "deliberately concocted nonsense." They later claimed to have written the poems in one day by randomly picking out nonsequential lines from the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations.
