A FRENCH EMPIRE STYLE CLOCK GARNITURE
19TH CENTURY, CIRCA 1880

The empire style clock, inspired by the Neoclassical period. The gilt-bronze and slate clock having a winged cherub holding a torch standing in a two dove drawn chariot above a baluster urn form body inset with an engine turned dial, flanked by two swans. With an 8 day movement, bell strike. The associated garniture modelled as pan holding two sconces.
