The Pop Shop opened in 1986 in the Soho, New York. Haring saw the Pop Shop as an extension of his work, a fun boutique where his art could be accessible to everyone. This series of work was created by Haring to coincide with the opening of the shops they use colors, and idols, such as the scissors, that appealed to the masses.
