A LARGE FRENCH BRONZE AND ROUGE MARBLE MANTEL CLOCK
19TH CENTURY

The patinated bronze figure modelled as a young female receiving a love note from Cupid, bearing a title plaque reading 'Le Messenger Par Anglade', and also signed Anglade to side, all above a classical style rouge marble base inset with a circular dial, signed, 'Diguet Boulay a' Chateaudun', the marble nicely mounted with ormolu and raised on splayed legs. With an 8 day countwell strike movement.
78cm high, 47cm wide, 22cm deep
