Lot 24
Ti-Tree Study (The Glade) c. 1904
oil on canvas
bears artist name lower right and date: F. McCubbin/ 1903
artist's name and title on exhibition label verso
36 x 46cm
Estimate $30,000 - $35,000
Work in good condition overall. The paint appears to be mostly stable. On the right hand side, there is loss of 2mm, this appears to be caused by the framing nail pushing through the stretcher bar. The painting has been examined under UV light which shows minor areas of repair. The artist's name lower right, appears to have been overlaid and thus fluoresces. Overall size with frame 57 x 65.5cm
