Reid's pencil on paper Not titled (holiday scene) created in 2018 takes the viewer to a ubiquitous summer holiday resort. The detail she focuses on pulls your eye through the drawing: it is compelling—from the decking and chairs to the person on their mobile, then above their head the no-smoking sign and beach umbrellas. There's so much to explore and absorb, and the devil is in the detail. Reid has worked in the Arts Project studio since 2002 with her first solo exhibition in 2015. She has been presented in major exhibitions nationally and internationally, including Painting. More Painting at Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. Her work is held in numerous public collections including the National Gallery of Australia and National Gallery of Victoria, as well as private collections worldwide.
