The large porcelain vase naturalistically decorated with 'ukiage' (relief carved slip) peonies and foliage against a lavender glazed ground, the flowers and foliage delicately shaded with underglaze pigments. Incised four character mark to the base within a square reading 'Heian Gyokudo'.
