In Ang's striking work, the sun-scorched landscape gives way to the stark form of a tower against a bright blue sky.
Lygin Ang is an emerging artist centring his practice on drawing and painting. Inspired by images of landscapes and animals, he translates complex compositions into a simple, flat, iconic design, delicately and deliberately applied to paper. Precise line and vivid layered colour often translate into brilliant images of vibrant birds against textured backgrounds, marked by soft strokes of pencil. He utilises these elements most effectively to accentuate his unique and sophisticated style that is both striking and pleasant to view.
