Untitled reads like the bedroom wall or floor of a 1970's teenager, strewn with David Cassidy posters, album covers and records, paying homage to the heart-throb and his oeuvre.

Peter Ben is a painter and ceramicist drawing inspiration from a variety of narratives. Series of ceramic works created with a deep carving technique and relief details produce intriguing results. Ben's paintings reference a multitude of subject matter with a particular focus on music culture and often feature dappled, almost psychedelic, multi-coloured backgrounds.

Ben has worked at Arts Project since 1996 and presented his first solo exhibition in 2013. He has been represented in numerous group exhibitions throughout Australia Public collections include the National Gallery of Australia. His work is also held in national and international?private and corporate collections.
