This work by Dearing pays homage to street art, the bright lettering in classic graffiti text emblazoned across the cityscape.
Matthew Dearing is an emerging artist whose Esher-like architectural imagery rendered in pencil and the fine liner is highly developed. The works offer an intriguing take in the traditional blueprint, with the occasional medieval imagery and graffiti aesthetics brought to life introduces colour eliciting an almost psychedelic stylistic effect.
Matthew Dearing has worked at the Arts Project Australia studio since 2017 and has exhibited in group exhibitions in Melbourne.
