In Steven Perrette's Untitled, the chaos and frantic nature of the scene is communicated through the bombardment of signs and repetitive marks in fluorescent paint pen.
Steven Perrette's works on paper frequently depict the frenetic workings of the western world. Within his practice he maintains a fascination with industrial and vintage ships and sailing boats along with roads and highways depicting a cacophony of cars, semi-trailers, cafes, gas stations and signs featuring corporate logos.
Perrette has worked at Arts Project Australia since 2000 and had his first solo exhibition in the Arts Project Gallery in 2011. He has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions including Gallery 101, Ontario and Melbourne Art Fair, Melbourne. Public collections include the National Gallery of Australia, V-Line and City of Moreland. His work is also held in national and international private and corporate collections.
