Dorothy Scanlon's The Queen is an overwhelmingly endearing portrait, the usually larger than life monarch tiny and reduced to a sparse form.
Dorothy Scanlon is an emerging mixed media artist. Her small artworks retain a sense of intimacy with their modest compositions, whilst her larger works explore abstract shapes with vivid colours and symbolic elements.
Scanlon has been a regular artist at Arts Project Australia since 2017 and has exhibited in annual group exhibitions.
