YUAN DYNASTY (1279-1368)
The stoneware bowl covered in a thick sky-blue glaze, thinning around the mouth-rim to reveal the buff colour of the body beneath. Original Yuan Dynasty hand-forged iron staples affixed to repair an early break. Three-character inscription in red pigment to the base (unread).
8cm high, 18cm diameter
Estimate $800 - $1,200
Chip to the inner edge of the mouth-rim. Repaired section to the mouth-rim with original early iron staples. Wear to the glaze in the interior and some remnant soil encrustation to the interior.
