LATE 19TH CENTURY/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, LEONARD JOEL LOCAL DELIVERY SIZE: MEDIUM
Each set on a cobalt blue ground with central courting scene and floral decoration, flanked with branch handles with bacchanalian mask appliqués, raised on a four-footed square platform base.
Bearing blue under glazed crossed sword marks to underside of base.

Urn 1: extensive restoration to cover and finial with age-related yellowing to the restoration medium in places; one handle re-attached and restored; body and foot both ring sound when tapped; loss to the grape vine wreath of one mask head; several losses to the leaf swags applied to the foot; underglaze blue crossed swords mark and incised 'F28' '61' to the underside of the foot.
Urn 2: finial of the cover restored; extensive restoration to the foot of the urn, however underglaze blue cross swords mark and impressed 'F28' '61' still visible; one handle re-attached and restored; minor losses to the grape vine wreaths of each of the mask heads.
