The rosewood frame accented with inlaid motifs, upholstered in studded worn orange leather to back, seat and arms, the arms terminating in scrolls, standing on turned foliate carved legs, and out swept back legs, on brass castors

Wear to the leather consistent with age and use, some looseness to the joinery associated with the front leg, signs of old bora to base, brass castors loose on front legs.
Repairs to front legs visible when viewed underneath, fading to leather upholstery from UV exposure. Updated 12/10/2021

The stately 19th Century home featuring seven bedrooms, two dining rooms, a billiard room, a study, and two sitting rooms, was tastefully restored in the late 2000s by highly regarded Australian interior designer, the late Stuart Rattle.The restoration showcased his fine attention to detail and effortless ability to merge colours, styles, and patterns into one unified aesthetic; always subtly paying homage to classical motifs and early English design.
