LY (1009-1225) OR TRAN (1225-1400) DYNASTY, CIRCA 12TH/13TH CENTURY

十二或十三世紀 越南 罕見的佛教祭祀銅罐

Of ovoid form with chased lotus petal decoration to the shoulder, the spout in the form of a bamboo shoot, four circular handles to the shoulder, a shaped handle and a lid with a raised boss in the centre.
22cm high, 24.5cm wide

Encrusted verdigris patina. A 2cm diameter hole to one side. An area of loss to the spout. Small losses to the rims of the moputh and the lid.
