A CHINESE CARVED GILTWOOD EIGHT HORSES OF MU WANG PANEL
QING DYNASTY (1644-1912), 19TH CENTURY

清十九世紀 穆王八駿圖板

Very finely carved in high relief with a depiction of the eight horses of Mu Wang frolicking amongst willow trees, rocks and clouds. Set in a later frame.
The panel 62cm high, 23cm wide. With frame 76cm high, 37.5cm wide.

Splits to part of the top of the panel. Some minor losses and wear to the gilding
