A RARE PAIR OF DOUCAI DISHES, YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE-BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE SQUARES AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The interior of each dish finely decorated with grapes, the exterior with fruits and flowers branches.

Dishes featuring this grapevine pattern were crafted as emulations of Chenghua doucai prototypes, such as the Chenghua-period wine cups. Notable examples include two pieces in the National Palace Museum (museum no. 005245N & 005246N) and another in the Capital Museum, Beijing (museum no. 00091442).
