Lot 137
Made bespoke for the vendor, circa 2009
The rectangular top above a pair of lattice-framed doors backed with woven fabric enclosing an interior with an adjustable shelf, raised on spreading stile supports pierced with pegged projecting tenon ends, the slatted sides backed with matching fabric, the interior largely open at the back (original, to accommodate electronic equipment) and with a removable panel to its base, with Kim Moir's brass label applied to the interior and his magpie trademark stamped to the back
88.5cm high, 125cm wide, 56cm deep
Estimate $1,000 - $1,500
Please note that the catalogue description has been amended.
The cabinet is generally in very good condition. To the top, a slight shrinkage gap has opened between the two boards that make up the top, extending almost its full width (and about 2mm at its widest, in the centre), and there a few light scratches and occasional other points of light wear to the varnish. There are slight knocks around the front feet. One of the four removable brass pins that support the adjustable shelf is lacking.
The opinions expressed in the condition reports are a guide only and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Please note condition reports can be amended during the pre-sale period, so we strongly suggest any interested bidders check the published condition report available on the website before the auction commences.
