Structurally sound and very well presented consistent with age and use; typical light knocks, dent, and scratches scattered throughout and with areas of very old (long since filled) worm tracks to the top and stretcher. The lower parts of the feet (variously to a height of a few centimetres) are old, probably nineteenth century, replacements now virtually indistinguishable in colour and patina from the original parts above.
