The central sapphires are medium blue and show light abrading from wear.
The claws are in good condition. Two claws have moved slightly over time.
The sapphires are secure in the settings.
The textured petals are matt satin finished with no evidence of damage on the surface texture. The petal pattern appears as designed.
The white tips on the petals are in excellent condition and all tips are sharp. The white surface is in good condition devoid of chips and is smooth.
The claws on the tips show some wear, so care is to be taken with the brooch.
The weight of the brooch is good as it is a sturdy piece.
The pin on the brooch is slightly curved to match the design, is in good condition and the mechanics work as designed.
