In good condition consistent with age and use, with even and unobtrusive light wear but no pronounced areas of greater wear. On both sides, the narrow outermost border remains the original dark blue in places but has faded to brown along the central parts of its length (without any variation in the colours of the adjacent parts of the rug).

(The underside of the rug, most of which is presently inaccessible, has not been fully inspected in preparing this report.)
