A CHARLES II OAK CHEST OF DRAWERS
1660s–1670s

Rectangular, the top above the corbelled frieze carved to the front with fantastic serpents between lion masks above two long drawers with panelled cushion fronts, the upper drawer with a term figure of a man to its centre between similar figures either side, the lower drawer with an arch to its centre, the carcase with mouldings at each level, the sides panelled, on stile feet, possibly with some later embellishment
