The body with a pair of upturned handles on a spreading circular foot, pierced and incised overall with geometric and foliate motifs, the conforming lid, surmounted with a seated gargoyle with its head raised and long tail curled to one side, the dragon glazed green and brown against a cream ground, incised signature 'Marguerite Mahood' to edge of base, titled 'GARGOYLE' and numbered 'Q2230' underside

Very minor losses to one spike on its back
Pre-firing cracks to the lid visible
