Lot 103
A spray of almond blossom with a landscape beyond
Oil on board
Possibly signed lower centre right (very indistinct)
27 x 18cm
Estimate $3,000 - $4,000
Possibly signed lower centre right (within the darkest brown area of the landscape); if so, very indistinct.
The principal parts of the work are in oil paint (and the work was described as being an 'an oil' when sold by the Joshua McClelland Print Room) but it appears possible the sky and clouds are in gouache.
Apparently in excellent, well-preserved condition, with a few scattered tiny brown spots.
(In preparing this report the work has not been examined out of its glazed frame.)
