A FRENCH MUSICAL AUTOMATON, POLICHINELLE WITH CYMBALS

The bisque-head doll with blue glass paperweight inset eyes, blonde mohair fleecy wig over cork pate, French carton torso with classic highly-defined front and back Polichinelle humps, wire upper arms, bisque forearms, standing upon a green brocade velvet covered plinth, when wound, the doll tilts her head side to side while clanging the brass cymbals she holds, and music plays, original paper label on base with pencil note of musical tune "La Mascotte"
