Of typical form with girdled body on spreading moulded circular foot, with two scrolling handles with heart-shaped lower terminals, the body engraved to one side with the heraldic escutcheon of the University of Cambridge and to the other 'Cambridge University / Scratch Fours / March 1865 / 35 Boats Started / First Prize …' followed by the names of the crew and their colleges

Minor damage and dents in places, mostly notably to one capped handle, one edge of base, and top edge of cup with associated compression
Possible repair (presenting as a crack) to underside of base
