A front support of one chair is fractured / split almost to its full height. The separated parts press back together neatly under hand pressure (so could readily be repaired with gluing and clamping) although there are small losses to the gilt gesso surface around the edges of the split.

Otherwise, the suite is structurally sound and generally very well presented, consistent with age and use, probably regilt in places.

The frames show typical scattered light knocks, superficial losses, and scuffs to the gilt gesso surfaces, mostly to edges and the supports; the gilding with typical wear along edges and high points of carved details, exposing the red bole beneath.

The upholstery is of good quality, relatively recent (apparently done within the past twenty years), and remains in good, clean condition.
