Lot 170
20th century
In coloured threads on the neutral twill ground, each embroidered in Oriental manner with various birds (and one squirrel) amidst flowering trees, mounted behind glass within parcel-gilt moulded and carved frames
Each panel 155cm high, 60cm wide, overall (including frame)
Estimate $700 - $900
All three works have brown dried moisture stains, mostly their lower halves (as visible in the catalogue photos).
The works have not been examined out of their frames, in which they are enclosed with plywood back boards; it is therefore not known how they are mounted within the frames.
The frames are in good condition.
