inscribed and signed lower left: To Mr and Mrs Lewis / In appreciation of your sincere interest in my work / With best wishes / Robert Klippel / Feb 1969
52 x 37.5cm

Estimate $2,000 - $3,000

Sold for $3,200

The paper displays foxing throughout and signs of moisture damage. The is cockling to the paper, and creases in the paper around the edges. The frame has some scratches, and the rear also shows signs of moisture damage. However, the gouache pigment is strong and colours vibrant, therefore it is highly likely that a paper conservator could remove the foxing, and if the work was properly reframed, many of these issues could be resolved.
