A PAIR OF COMB CUT MAGNUM DECANTERS ON A PAPIER MACHE TRAY
19TH CENTURY

Each decanter of generous proportions having gilded rims with tapered and fluted necks beneath a flat ovoid stopper. The tray having a tapered waist and a band of gilding to the inner edge.
Decanters 32cm high, tray 61cm long, 27cm wide

Both stoppers have very minor chips, the gilded decoration has both small losses and rubbing, noticable residue in one decanter. Condition of the tray is consistent with age having crazing to the lacquer and rubbing to the gilding.
