QING DYNASTY (1644-1912), 18TH/19TH CENTURY

The black lacquer panels inlaid with hardstone and jade decoration of pomegranate and nandina, inset into intricately pierced hardwood table screens.

Some losses to the hardstone inlays. Old repairs to the lacquer ground surrounding the inlays, mainly to the edge where it joins the hardwood. A small loss to the hardwood surrounding the lacquer at the reverse of the screen with pomegranate fruit and flowers. Some minor loosening and separation of the joins of the hardwood mounts. Approximately 1060 gms total weight for two screens together.
